Most products crafted by Lilo Studio are made from linen or cotton. These are high-quality, premium fabrics designed for everyday use, so don't be afraid to wear and enjoy them! With a little simple care, your embroidered pieces will last for many years.

Washing. Wash by hand or machine at a maximum temperature of 30°C, using a gentle or delicate cycle. Place the item inside a pillowcase to protect the embroidery from rubbing against the drum and to prevent thread damage. Avoid bleach and tumble drying. Lay the garment flat to dry, preferably in the shade; while sunlight may seem harmless, it is the primary cause of colors fading over time.

Ironing. Iron on the reverse side of the embroidery using high heat and plenty of steam (ironing temperatures are 200–230°C for linen and 200–220°C for cotton). If the garment is completely dry, lightly mist it with water before ironing; this makes the process much easier, though it is optional.

For stubborn stains. The sooner you treat a stain, the easier it is to remove. Always carefully remove any excess residue before treating the stain, and never use hot water, as it sets the stain rather than removing it. For grease stains (oil, butter): sprinkle baby powder, cornstarch, flour, or baking soda over the stain and let it sit for a few hours before shaking off the garment and washing it. Food, grass, or blood stains: rub with moistened Marseille soap and rinse with cold water. Berry, coffee, or tea stains: apply lemon juice to the stain before putting the garment in the washing machine. Wine stains: if the stain is fresh, cover it with cornstarch to absorb the liquid; Once dry, clean it with a little water and Marseille soap. If the stain is stubborn, use pure white vinegar and let it sit for up to an hour before washing.

If your piece is naturally dyed. Do not try to treat stains directly, as you might discolor the fabric. Wash it following the guidelines above, and you will see the stains fade with washing. Always dry it in the shade and store it away from direct light to preserve its original color.
